Joey Fieldinstream

Republican Sen. Joey Fillingane has made the blog of a radio show host in Georgia for being the hypocrite of the week. Their findings:

1. Though endorsed by the NRA, there is no record of Fillingane ever having a hunting license in the State of Mississippi.

2. A strong supporter of family values, he just recently moved out of his parent's house... at the age of 34.

3. After comparing trial lawyers to the people who killed Christ, he, in fact, advertises himself as a trial lawyers in the local phone book (see below). If someone has a better image, please send it in.

  2. Call me slow, but what does living with your folks for waaaay too long have to do with family values?

The NRA is not solely a hunting organization. The hunting license doesn't mean much to me unless he hunts without one.

The family values thing is just plain funny.

  4. Hey man, leave him alone! People who live in their parents' basement until they're 34 are just as normal as the rest of us...right?

  5. I dislike Joey about as much as any of you Libs here, but guys you are grasping for straws here.

    1) I have long been an NRA member. I don't hunt, and have not since high school. Also, in Mississippi you are not required to have a hunting lic. unless you are hunting on public or lease-hold land. So if you have a large parcel of land you can hunt and fish on it without a lic.

    2) Yep, just another attempt to label Joey as a log-cabin Republican. I have no idea weather he is or not. But, I thought you bunch of Libs would be more accepting of whatever lifestyle someone chooses.

    3) To the best of my knowledge Joey handles more Title Working and real estate than anything else.

  6. If we at Cotton Mouth wanted to insinuate that Joey Fillingane were gay we could use far more than the fact that that.

I don't have so much of a problem with gay people as I do hypocrites.

The same applies to him in publicly attacking trial lawyers while buying ads in the phone book every year advertising that he represents personal injury cases.

A hypocrite is a hypocrite is a hypocrite.

He shouldn't be in such a position in our state government.

  7. At issue was a photograph in the campaign mailer that is either a) joey himself or b) a closely resembled man wearing hunters orange vest, hunter camo gear, and showing a young boy how to shoot a shotgun. It is the photo that implies Joey is a family man and a hunter, and that is where the hunters license, NRA, and and his family status became relevant to the blog discussion.
