John McCain (And People Who Enable Him Like Wicker) Is The Wrong Choice For The Coast

This video is Florida centric, but the issue of mulitperil insurance is the one courageous Congressman Gene Taylor (MS-04) and Lott (since retired) have been pushing with such dedication and principle.

Roger Wicker supports President John McCain who indicates he would veto such a bill if it ever got to him. What's more important Senator? Our nation's Gulf Coast or your political connections.

We need an independent Senator like Lott became after Bush threw him under the bus and how Representative Gene Taylor has always been. Our best choice for Independence, and a voice in the continuing Democratic majority,in this election is Ronnie Musgrove.

Update:  I can see where some confusion may be.  Roger Wicker has said he'll support Multi-peril Coverage.  Our point is that it would go nowhere with McCain (his choice) as President.

  1. Trent Lott an independent Senator?

    Jeezus...

He is hardly independent. He and Wicker are two peas in a stinking, rotten, pod.

  2. Multiperil and National Catastrophic Insurance are 2 different things. Your post makes it seem that Wicker is against Multiperil, but he is not and has said it publicly many times.

National Catastrophic Insurance is another way the Government can stick its hands into people’s pockets and take what they need in taxes. Why should someone living in Aspen be forced to foot the bill for someone who has a multimillion dollar condo on South Beach that was destroyed by a hurricane? Why should someone living in Nashville be forced to pay for someone who lost their house in a flood living in New Orleans 6 feet under sea level?

This bill will only encourage people to move to higher risk disaster areas. They move; their house is destroyed; they don’t worry about it because the rest of the country will bail them out. Is that responsible public policy? I don’t want to be forced to pay for a San Francisco home that was destroyed in an earthquake. It would cost tax payers 10's of billions.

  3. Natural disasters happen almost everywhere. If the insurance industry will find a way out of paying then we need to find another way.

  4. Socialize everything. Yeah, that’s the ticket. That will make all those problems go away and tax the people who are already struggling. The Government knows what’s best for the people. Give me a break.

Who wants to pay more taxes?
