Musgrove On Katrina Recovery / Wicker "Poster Child" For Earmark Reform

Former Governor Ronnie Musgrove in the Sun Herald:

On Hurricane Katrina and the Coast:
Getting U.S. Rep. Gene Taylor's multi-perils insurance bill passed, which Musgrove supports, as well as fixing infrastructure and creating more well-paying jobs are the most glaring needs in South Mississippi today, he said.
"When you spend money, it ought to be on things that matter," Musgrove said.

On Interim Senator Roger Wicker:
(Musgrove) said the U.S. is going so far into debt that it has contributed to the national economy getting worse. Citing the work of a national conservative columnist, Musgrove said his opponent, Republican Roger Wicker was a "poster child" for a moratorium on pork barrel projects.

"At some point in time, we need a senator that will say no," Musgrove said.
Give 'em hell Ronnie!
