Why did Wicker vote against bailout bill?

We all read Travis Childer's heartfelt explanation for why he voted against the bailout bill. Whether you agree with him or not, he gave a well thought out summary of his reasons. Travis and his House colleagues will get another chance when the Senate version of the bailout is voted on by the House.

Roger Wicker also voted no on the Senate version of the bailout along with his colleague Thad Cochran. Yesterday in Desoto County, Wicker explained why he voted against the bill.

Commercial Appeal:

'I think also every member of the House and one-third of the Senate, we all know there is an election in five weeks minus one day and we would all like to win the election, too, so there is politics involved in almost everything.'
Roger Wicker voted no for political reasons and does not deny it. I have to give him credit for being honest, but I must admit I sure do like Travis Childer's explanation a lot better. Did Travis vote for political reasons? Some may say he did, but at least he put forth a solid convincing explanation for his vote.
