  2. Presley is a nice 'fella. This Civil Rights lawsuit filed against him, his police chief, a police officer, and the city of Nettleton, is pretty serious thought. It throws his leadership into question since he has not denied the allegations in the complaint. The complaint involved minor children being sprayed in the face with pepper spray. That is just a little too over the top for me. Presley is accountable for the actions of those that he supervises. We don't want another PSC here in the Northern District riddled with lawsuits like the current incumbent!

  3. anonymous: thank you for your complimentary remarks of Brandon being a nice 'fella. He truly is. Your comment about the complaint involving minor children being sprayed with pepper spray by an officer is just that: an "alleged" complaint, as most complaints are until the court sorts it out.

Brandon being named in the suit is simply "normal operating procedure" when it comes to lawsuits of this kind. Just like the CEO of a 150,000-employee company will be named as a defendant if a lone janitor in one of their thousands of offices leaves a floor slightly wet and someone slips and falls. That's just the price one pays for being in the top job.

Brandon did make the statement that this case was assigned to the city attorney when it happened last year, as all matters are, and it is being handled by the city attorney now. There's really not much more he can say on a matter the court is deciding, and more importantly, one in which his opponent is simply playing old-time politics in days leading up to an election.
