Lobbyists Aren't Popular In Jackson

He talked about how lobbyists wouldn't have too much influence on his administration.

He then talks again about valuing teachers getting huge cheers again. Does JSU have a teachers college?

Make college affordable: (The folks like that idea.)

4,000 per year for college, but folks will have to serve their fellow man (students look stoked.)

Invest in the companies that invest in Jackson, Mississippi.

10 billion dollar home foreclosure preventive fund.

If you are willing to work in this country then you should not be poor.

  1. John, it was great to meet you tonight! I'm sorry we couldn't talk in more detail, but I needed to catch up with the folks I was carpooling with, and had never been in a crowd of 10,000 before so I was kind of scared of getting lost. ;o)

There is indeed a teacher's college at JSU, and I would suspect that most of the kids present were JPS kids. Education is a VERY big issue in Mississippi, and if Obama does end up competitive here vs. McCain, that'll be a large part of the reason why...
