Here's the new DNC ad on Iraq. The five year anniversary is this week. As someone mentioned to me the other day, the Civil War only lasted 4 years and our part in WWI lasted only four years.
When you said "a few religious whackos", I thought you were referring to the Bush administration. But then there you go continuing the fallacy that the attacks on 9/11 were related to the war in Iraq. When in fact we turned our sights from those who attacked the United States to those who posed ZERO threat to us.
Breaking News: There was no relationship between Iraq and Al Qaeda. There were no WMD's. The same people who sold this demagoguery also convinced American's that torture is necessary and it is OK to spy on American citizen's.
I never said anything about WMD's or Al-Qaeda being connected to 9/11.
I simply stated a factual timeline:
We got attacked, then we went to war, whether it was right or wrong.
Are the following points even remotely debatable? You tell me:
Without 9/11, there is no War in Iraq.
Without 9/11, there is no Patriot Act.
Without 9/11, there is no need to spend ourselves into bankruptcy in order to defend ourselves.
Without 9/11, Pearl Harbor is still the bloodiest attack ever on American Soil.
I say "religious whackos" in reference to atrocious attacks on innocent Sons,Daughters,Brothers,Sisters,Moms and Dads and you immediately think of Bush? I am baffled.
