Kids Warn Conservatives on SCHIP

2 comments:

  1. All Mississippi members of Congress except Thompson voted against SCHIP. They said it was because the formula was unfair to Mississippi, but that was changed in the final version of the bill. I don't expect any support from Wicker or Pickering - they're hopeless. However, Congressman Taylor has always done what he thinks is best for Mississippians. He needs to be educated on this issue. Mississippi is number 1 in infant mortality, and we have one of the highest percentages of uninsured kids in the country. This is so important, that I think even Cochran and Lott may come around. (Barbour is hopeless, of course, because the increase in the cigarette tax is a more important issue to him than children's health.)
