Use Football To Take Back the South For Democrats

See what could make good gun-toting, meat-eating, red-blooded Republican voters vote for Democrats.
So here is what Democrats need to do: Contact these players and their families and try to form a coalition. And the platform of the coalition, in the voice of the players' parents, will say, "As long as Southern states tend to favor the Republican party, and oppose the interests of black Americans, our sons will sign college football scholarships with northern schools. When Southern states begin to vote Democratic, supporting the interest of black Americans, our sons will be happy to play for Southern schools. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy watching Ohio State, Michigan, Missouri (go Tigers!) and others whip your Southern butts.
It involves football recruiting and could cause self-respecting Southerners to name their children "Hillary" and "Barack."

  1. Now that's some out-of-the-box thinking. Or shall I say, out-of-the-south thinking!

  2. You stole my plan for MAEP. If Haley does not want to fully fund next year, then let's jut cut football from the all HS budgets.

  3. GOOD IDEA!! All the people that will fall for that crap need to go and take their followers with them. It would be just another example of the Liberal Democrat mumbo jumbo to try and take back the changing black vote and using race is the only and lowest card they can play.
Look at all the endorsements that Haley had from black democrats. Why do educated black voters vote Republican than the not so educated? It seems in Mississippi, as a whole the smarter you are the more likely you will vote Republican. Why is that? The black folks in Mississippi are realizing that the Democratic Party just wants their vote to stay alive in Mississippi. What if the Delta started to vote Republican?? The Democratic Party would be finished and it would not surprise me if in the near future they start doing just that. It’s sad to say that some Mississippians are just looking for a handout and the Democratic Party is willing to do that at the tax payers’ expense. Is that right? Should the people who don’t pay taxes keep getting a handout from the working people of the state? The face to face redetermination was one of the best things that the Guv has done to purge the people who were ripping off the system. What has the Republican Party done to discourage the black community? What does the Democratic Party do for blacks that the Republican Party doesn’t?

  4. "Why do educated black voters vote Republican than the not so educated?"

Are you saying that the roughly 90% of black Mississippians who vote Democratic are uneducated or ignorant?

4 black Democrats endorsed Barbour out of thousands of black Democratic elected officials and you call that progress?

"What has the Republican Party done to discourage the black community?"

Is this a rhetorical question? It doesn't take long to name a few.

Bottom line (though it appears you didn't get it) this post was meant to be HUMOR. Enjoy it for what it is.

  5. Chuck,

Why then is the GOP so strong in the south where illiteracy rates are high and education levels low? Why did more college educated people vote for Kerry instead of Bush?

Do you havenumbers to back up your wild claims, or is it just a bunch of republican "mumbo jumbo"?
