What do you guys think about the news that the state has been overpaying its share of Medicaid for the last four years as a result of a formula error (third one discovered so far) by the Musgrove administration?
By the way, I am under the impression that this error is not disputed - the Federal government has already begun repaying the state for the amount it has overpaid.
I just saw Musgrove'es spokesperson's comment in the Clarion Ledger. He claimed Gov. Barbour was passing the buck because he had not noticed the error for five years. Talk about passing the buck! "Yes - I made the mistake, but you didn't catch it, so it's your fault!" That's some real accountability for you. I think voters would respond better to an admission that a technical error was made by Musgrove's administration and that he regrets it.
