But Green wrote that the law speaks “loudly about the special election placement on the ballot ... (it) explicitly states that candidates for the U.S. Senate shall come first on the ballot, along with others who are seeking National Office.”

Judge orders new Ballot
The Clarion Ledger just reported minutes ago that Hinds County Circuit Court Judge Tomie Green has ordered that a new revised ballot for November's elections be distributed to the county Election Commissioners. Haley Barbour and Delbert Hosemann are expected to appeal the decision to the state's highest court. I for one have little confidence in the Chamber of Commerce sponsored Supreme Court to rule in favor of a fair election. I am betting this ends up in a federal court before it is all said and done, being that the disputed ballot in direct violation of the Voting Rights Act. But I will take this victory for election integrity now. The actions of our Governor begs the question, why does he want to hide this election at the bottom of the ballot?

Looks like Musgrove's Campaign Contribution to Judge Green did pay off.

ReplyDelete(One nitpick: It's Tomie, not Tommie.)
