It's fundraising week at Cotton Mouth

To put together this blog I bought a dozen domain names, a cheap video camera, computer software (that I haven't figured out how to use yet) and gas to get to events. All this costs money and you obviously like the result because you keep coming back.

Now I'm going to the nation's largest blogger conference, Yearly Kos, and I need some help in getting there. I've already got some help from friends and family, but I need more to cover basic costs.

Please contribute $5 or more dollars to helping pay for the trip by clicking on the Chipin button at the upper right of this webpage or contribute to help pay the expenses of running such a quality website by clicking the "Make a Donation!" button under the get noticed banner.

Both are processed through PayPal which is a secure form of payment.

  1. some of these damn trial lawyers that blow a few hundred bucks a pop at Char need to drop some change your way.

Have liked the site and its well on its way to being the leading Democrat site in Mississippi.

I might give if you will promise to link to Fox News and the RNC for at least one year from the date of the conference.

and it must be prominent, not on the bottom of some permalink.

  4. Thanks to my second donor, you know who you are. I'll be giving my appreciation off the website later.

    Kingfish, what is Char?
RPP, how much for the link?

See, now we are talking. Instead of asking for a handout, you are selling something. Feels good to be a capitalist, doesn't it?

You ought to invest in a better blogging software, go to Char (a nicer restaurant in Jackson), meet up with some Democrats with money, and pitch your website on them.

Next thing you know you will be making donations instead of asking for them.

  7. RPP, yep I think we're all capitalists here.

Have you read "Banker to the Poor"? One of its main points is about making doing the right thing in business more competitive than doing the wrong thing. Making capitalism work.
