Braves Manager Phillip Wellman Becomes YouTube Star

Mississippi Braves Manager Phillip Wellman's antics earn nationwide coverage:
The Chattanoogan:
The 4,240 fans in attendance Friday night will long remember tonight but not so much due to the game itself but for the circus-like events that occurred. The main-event centered around the ejection of Mississippi’s manager, Phillip Wellman.
The Clarion Ledger:
"I heard from all kinds of people," the M-Braves manager said before Saturday night's game against West Tenn at Trustmark Park. "My mom called to say she was proud of me. ... Everybody wanted to ask me the same questions you're asking.

"It's been a long day."

Wellman became an overnight celebrity after his ejection - and subsequent antics - during Friday's 7-6 loss at Chattanooga.

Video of the incident was played on CNN and ESPN and was available to the world on the popular Web site YouTube.
