Democrats In Name Only, or DINOs if you prefer, are a particular problem that must be addressed.
The DINO is a breed that masquerades as a Democrat, takes contributions as a Democrat, and solicits votes as a Democrat. Unfortunately unlike most Democrats they then stab fellow Democrats in the back and vote against the interests of the citizens of the great state of Mississippi.
Up front I want to be clear that this has NOTHING to do with personal beliefs on important social issues. You can be against abortion and for public displays of faith, like Jamie Franks or John Eaves or myself for that matter, and still be a strong, committed Democrat.
The DINO adopts Republican talking points and votes with Republicans on issues where their constituency clearly supports the Democratic position. DINOs flirt with the Republican party, but don't have the guts to switch parties.
DINOs are not welcome at the Cotton Mouth blog.

ReplyDeleteI disagree on Eric Clark and either way he is exiting public life at this time and thus is not seeking the spotlight for good or ill.
