Charlie's Got a Donut

I have on good authority that Charlie Ross has adopted what is known as a "donut" strategy in his ad buy.

His buy has consisted of the early stuff which we are already seeing and a lot of reserved time in the weeks directly before the election.

He will go dark at some point in between. Look for that to happen mid-July.

If Ross manages to raise enough funding in addition to that which he has already raised to fill that 2-3 weeks time he will buy the time, but as of now he is scheduled to go black in between now and the primary.

  1. Personally I like the hot Krispy Kremes about 2AM when the red sign is lit up. Every now and then I'm in the mood for a jelly one though. and Meche's in baton rouge when they are fresh are very hard to beat.

  2. The free donut when the light goes on is hard to beat.

    My favorites though are Tato-Nut which are found only in Ocean Springs. They are big, really fluffy donuts made with a mix that includes potato flour.

  3. Charlie's head is a GIANT donut hole, nothing but space twix them ears! And yes, that Krispy Kreme on Hwy.49 in Gulfport has pocketed a good bit of my money in the last 4 years. I would like to try that place Kingfish is talking about over in Baton Rouge, wonder if they give Blanco's staff free stuff?

    I doubt anyone is giving Blanco free anything anymore.
