Maybe it is sign that the landscape is shifting in Mississippi, both politically and now apparently geologically. An earthquake measuring 3.1 on the Richter scale registered around 12:52 CST, just outside of Tupelo in Sherman. Sherman is a community located right off of highway 78 about 5 miles outside of Tupelo.
My family lives on the edge of Tupelo that leads right to Sherman. Dad said that it felt like the ground shook a little and made a booming sound. Other than the family cat high-tailing it to hide under the car, nothing else much eventful happened according to the family.
Wow. Somebody needs to send this to the Childers campaign. Great analogy. Anytime you can spin geophysics news into politics, you've done OK.
ReplyDeletei thought you might like that. ;)
ReplyDeleteYou actually told more about it than the Tupelo newspaper! Good job...
